The JADRC was incorporated on March 31, 1906 for $1,900,000. On Nov. 25, 1906 it acquired the Detroit, Plymouth & Northville Railway Co. and the Jackson & Ann Arbor Railway Co. It was sold on July 19, 1906 to Detroit, Jackson & Chicago Railway Co.(DJCRC). The DJCRC was incorporated on Jan. 12, 1907 for $25,000 in Detroit.
