Bill of Sale, 1907.

Bill of Sale (copy), typed (4 p.), dated July 19, 1907, whichtransferred property from Jackson, Ann Arbor, and Detroit Railway Company (JADRC) to the Detroit, Jackson and Chicago Railway Company. Property transferred for $1 included three train cars made by the St. Louis Car Company, lumber and bridge parts, pipes, brakes, railroad ties, etc. to construct a line or railways east of Wayne (village). The bill was signed by W.A. Boland, Vice-President JADRC, Henry R. Carse, Secretary JADRC, and witnesses James Doud and M. Bourisow. Their signatures are typed on this copy.

The JADRC was incorporated on March 31, 1906 for $1,900,000. On Nov. 25, 1906 it acquired the Detroit, Plymouth & Northville Railway Co. and the Jackson & Ann Arbor Railway Co. It was sold on July 19, 1906 to Detroit, Jackson & Chicago Railway Co.(DJCRC). The DJCRC was incorporated on Jan. 12, 1907 for $25,000 in Detroit. It bought the Detroit, Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor & Jackson Railway Co. on Feb. 1, 1907 and the JADRC in 1906. It was sold on Sept. 12, 1928 by Detroit United Railway...
